Mr. Pascal Edeline, born in Belgium on 15th April, 1960, was a student of architecture, music, painting, sculpture, history and culture. He had also learnt drawing. He made a complete tour of the world in two years and visited Tapovan twice. He learnt Shiva-yoga under the guidance of H.H. Mahatapasvi Shri Kumarswamiji and continued its practice. I met Shri Swamiji for the first time in Belgium, where lectures were organised in 1979. In 1982, I was travelling throughout the world for one and a half years when I arrived in India. During all those months, I had met many people, groups and churches that were teaching the ways of divinity and spirituality, but none of them gave me what I wanted.
I always found that they did not guide me fully. I was attracted by the love of Shri Swamiji and by Swamiji's voice through Shiva-yoga, which brought me to India and Tapovan.
I arrived in Tapovan on a morning in July 1982. As I came nearer to Tapovan, my heartbeat became faster and I felt the greatest joy. This was a completely new experience for me, and I knew that it was something very special.
I had darshan of H.H. Shri Kumarswamiji and attended the Sunday prayer and lecture. During the lecture, I felt that Shri Swamiji was responding to all my deep emotions and doubts with great love. I wondered how He knew my emotions and doubts.
I stayed in Tapovana for six weeks. During this period, I read many of Shri Swamiji's books and began practising Shiva-yoga. When I left Tapovana, I continued my world tour and went to Egypt. There, I tried to practise Shiva-yoga in the heart of the pyramids, which I regarded as a symbol of perfection and a great receiver of cosmic energy. I had a wonderful experience in which I felt powerful vibrations and magnetic force during Shiva-yoga.
Throughout my world tour, I received various impressions. During my stay at Tapovana, all my spiritual aspirations relating to the rational and logical intellect became crystallised.
This is the second time I have come to Tapovana, and I wish to visit Tapovan again and again. I pray to God to bless Shri Swamiji with good health and a long life.
